I do want to echo one thing from the more radical fringe of our group: IF Bush is impeached before the RNC in September, then it might well be possible to run a legitimate third-party candidacy, if the Republican party is in real disarray and Bush cannot run, leaving Kerry standing alone. I think this is a possibility based on two things: • The number of areas for possible criminal indictments
of Bush is expanding AND more serious ones are beginning to be taken up
in the mainstream press.
I don’t know the actual odds here, but there is a chance. The way this window of possibility will open in the most dramatic way is if/when the 911 material breaks into mainstream press. Michael Moore’s film may well create an opening for more criminal evidence. Here’s an article about this I sent to Alternet and Common Dreams but hasn’t been published yet. the Unexplained Facts of 9/11
One over-arching obsession echoes through the halls of much of America these days: Defeat Bush. Like a heartbeat, this obsession pulses daily through the Internet, through campaigns, and through gathering places across the land. At the deepest level, the anti-Bush movement is about more than partisan politics. It is about reclaiming American values while washing away the stain the Bush administration has placed on America’s good name in the world. An increasing number of Americans feel the visceral desire to remove a President who does not represent their values but caters to a weathly elite while lying, manipulating, and undermining long-cherished freedoms. However, they haven’t been that savvy about how to do this yet, spending much of their time on impassioned diatribes to the choir. A surprising number have shied away from investigating the one thing that can ensure Bush would be lucky to return to his ranch rather than a penitentiary: evidence of actual criminality. Criminal behavior is far more serious than incompetence, political backstabbing,
or even truth-shading statements. Criminal behavior would take Bush
out of any serious contention for the presidency.
Most people are very, very wary of crossing the line into thinking a president has engaged in actual criminality. Understandable. However, we must take off the rosy glasses with which we view our land and our leadership and admit that, over the course of human history, there is virtually no crime that has not been committed by political leaders. Power is a corruptive drug, as our Founding Fathers well knew. If we’ve had less abuse of it than most countries, we should consider ourselves fortunate. However, there is always the chance for those in power, even in America, to begin to abuse power and slip over the line into serious crimes. The abuses at Abu Ghraib opened the path for deeper revelations.

The question is: how deep does the stain run? Shockingly, the evidence is strong for deception all the way back to the source point for the whole war on terror: the events of 9/11. Almost uncovered by the mass media, an international movement has grown detailing hundreds of unexplained facts that, when seen together, point beyond intelligence failures and incompetence. The facts point towards at least high-level complicity in the Bush administration and, more probably, actual influence in the orchestration of the events. A sobering thought. If true, this would tumble the entire house of cards. Most people don’t want to think such thoughts. They are threatening and frightening. And yet, think them we must if we want to call ourselves patriots. Patriots protect what is most precious about America and that includes dealing with betrayals of the public trust. In fact, one of our most serious and most patriotic duties is to hold public officials to a high level of accountability. I will not chronicle the evidence here. There are half a dozen
excellent books, several dozen videos, hundreds of websites, citizen’s
inquiries, and local action groups that have laid the groundwork for

are putting their reputations on the line to advance the 9/11 Truth Movement
and demand that we simply MUST address the unexplained facts of 9/11. The

American ideals, I urge you to swallow whatever fears you have and look
